"BITING THE BULLET"

An unofficial reworking of the StarCraft cut mission
(c) 2021 by Giacomo Onorati

LIST OF CHANGES (with respect to the original version of the map as extracted from the StarCraft CD)
===============

** WARNING: SPOILER ALERT! **

- Mission title is shown in mission objectives ("TERRAN 7: 'BITING THE BULLET'").
- The name of the orange and blue Zerg forces has been changed from "Garm Brood" and "Jormungand Brood" both to "Zerg Swarm" (to keep coherence with mission 6 and because Jormungand Brood is actually the purple one); the Protoss force (Force 4) has been renamed as "Expeditionary Force" (instead of "Akilae Tribe").
- After the blue Zerg Hive is destroyed, there is a transmission from Duke and then a sequence of switches is activated after a while. In the original version of the map, these actions were repeated twice, depending if Duke's tank was in tank or siege mode; a further switch ("Switch 10"), has been added to avoid this repetition (the transmission and the following triggers are provided with the further condition that Switch 10 is clear, then the switch is set after the transmission occurs for the first time).
- The 'wait' action between the activation of the various switches ("3", "6" and "2") has been replaced with an 'internal timer' based on modifying the player's points (of a 'Custom' type); the switches are set once the points amount has reached a specific value. This ensures a perfect timing between the Zerg waves and the arrival of the Protoss, without the player being able to interfere (i.e. by accidentally pressing the 'Esc' button).
- The blue Zerg waves are now directed to the player's base by a first 'send all units to strategic suicide mission' AI script, followed by two 'patrol' orders for the units spawning in the two "Zerg Landing Zone" locations; the destination is a new location ("Target"), that is centered (randomly) on one of the player's Command centers.
- When the Protoss arrive and Tassadar speaks to the player, the 'center view' at the "Raynor" location has been disabled; a map revealer is created in the position of the Gantrithor and the player's view is centered there before pausing the game.
- The locations "Scouts 2" and "Scouts 3" (where some Protoss Scouts spawn) have been slightly enlarged, to ensure that every Protoss unit is rescued at the same time (in particular, the group in "Scouts 4" was too far from the others and needed to be rescued by sending one friendly unit near them).
